Little Pouch
Right now, I'm trying to cut back on swaps a bit, to have some time to make things for myself. I wasn't able to finish anything in time for my beach trip...I have a half-finished halter dress and an almost finished Amy Butler bag that are mocking me from my sewing table.
In the meantime, I'm having a good time finishing things up. I think I'll stay on with the ongoing wish swaps, because I can moderate my swap activity. I can choose a lot of people if I have a lot of time, or not choose anyone if I want to concentrate on myself. I mean, winter's coming up...and that means MAJOR knitting in the next few months!

These are sneeg's pitures of a knitting pouch that I made for her. She asked for a 6" x 3" pouch to hold scissors, a darning needle, and other knitting accessories; and she wanted retro fabric.
I love how it turned out! I used a very small scrap of vintage cotton, and centered the pattern I made on the large flowers. I added darts on the bottom to give it some volume, so it could hold a bit more. It's piped around the outside, and I added a little bias tape loop for attaching it to other things. It's lined in pink cotton.
And this is the back. I might make some of these for myself...It was quick and easy, and it's a very handy little thing to have.

cute! Major knitting, you say? What all are you going to be making??
I'm going to have to watch myself, once I am able to swap. Aren't I ^_~. I can't wait though, only 13 more days before I can jump in!
Piffle on Craftster for being down right now though...
